{"id":5893,"date":"2022-02-23T11:09:54","date_gmt":"2022-02-23T10:09:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sceaux-lagazette.fr\/?p=5893"},"modified":"2022-02-24T15:31:38","modified_gmt":"2022-02-24T14:31:38","slug":"rembrandt-intime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sceaux-lagazette.fr\/index.php\/2022\/02\/23\/rembrandt-intime\/","title":{"rendered":"Rembrandt intime"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avec <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sceaux.fr\/annuaire-des-associations\/rencontres-litteraires-et-artistiques-de-sceaux-rlas\" target=\"_blank\">Les Amis des Rencontres Litt\u00e9raires et Artistiques de Sceaux<\/a><\/em>, Marie-Lou Schenkel a invit\u00e9<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.paulguillonhistoiredelart.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Paul Guillon<\/a> le 9 f\u00e9vrier dernier \u00e0 l\u2019ancienne mairie de Sceaux pour nous entretenir de l\u2019intimit\u00e9 du ma\u00eetre Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, connu et nomm\u00e9 habituellement par son seul pr\u00e9nom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le succ\u00e8s de cette conf\u00e9rence \u00e9tait tel qu\u2019il nous a fallu, mon \u00e9pouse et moi, nous mettre sur liste d\u2019attente lors de la r\u00e9servation. Nous avons eu la chance de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de deux d\u00e9fections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 de Sciences Po (Paris), agr\u00e9g\u00e9 d\u2019Histoire, Paul Guillon intervient dans diff\u00e9rents s\u00e9minaires d\u2019entreprises ou de CSE, comme conf\u00e9rencier et consultant en management par l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il enseigne \u00e0 titre principal l\u2019histoire dans un lyc\u00e9e parisien (Stanislas) et l\u2019histoire de l\u2019art dans l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur (ISEP). A ce titre, il est charg\u00e9 de conf\u00e9rences dans les classes pr\u00e9paratoires de Stanislas et dans de nombreux autres \u00e9tablissements pour les \u00e9l\u00e8ves, les parents, les professeurs (Franklin, Saint-Jean-de-Passy, Sainte-Marie-de-Neuilly&#8230;).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Par ailleurs \u00e9crivain, auteur de <em>La couleur pure<\/em>, et de <em>Tes Empreintes, <\/em>, il collabore \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes revues litt\u00e9raires ou philosophiques. Il est notamment cit\u00e9 dans un ouvrage de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence sur les liens entre litt\u00e9rature et peinture, <em>Des mots pour la peinture<\/em>, publi\u00e9 au Seuil en 2010.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"767\" src=\"https:\/\/sceaux-lagazette.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Anatomie_Nicolaes_Tulp-1024x767.jpg\" alt=\"Rembrandt : la le\u00e7on d'anatomie du Docteur Tulp\" class=\"wp-image-5896\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sceaux-lagazette.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Anatomie_Nicolaes_Tulp-1024x767.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sceaux-lagazette.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Anatomie_Nicolaes_Tulp-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sceaux-lagazette.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Anatomie_Nicolaes_Tulp-768x575.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sceaux-lagazette.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/Anatomie_Nicolaes_Tulp.jpg 1065w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>a le\u00e7on d&rsquo;anatomie du Docteur Tulp  \/ image Wikim\u00e9dia Commons<br>https:\/\/pixabay.com\/fr\/photos\/levrette-chien-chiot-6563435\/<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Paul Guillon entame son propos en pr\u00e9cisant que sa conf\u00e9rence ne sera pas la simple redite de sa conf\u00e9rence des ann\u00e9es 2016\/2017 faite au mus\u00e9e Jacquemart-Andr\u00e9, car cette derni\u00e8re \u00e9tait consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 la peinture du ma\u00eetre, alors qu\u2019il s\u2019agit cette fois d\u2019entrer dans l\u2019intimit\u00e9 du grand peintre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En \u00e9cho \u00e0 la recherche de Rembrandt qui disait vouloir montrer l\u2019invisible dans sa peinture, Paul Guillon invite le public dans son intimit\u00e9 psychique, voire spirituelle. Il y parvient par touches successives, tel un impressionniste, tableau par tableau, et l\u2019heure et demie de la conf\u00e9rence s\u2019ach\u00e8ve alors que l\u2019on a le sentiment que le propos vient de d\u00e9buter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le conf\u00e9rencier commence par commenter le premier autoportrait de Rembrandt, le premier d\u2019une tr\u00e8s longue s\u00e9rie (voir premi\u00e8re illustration). Il &nbsp;nous pr\u00e9vient&nbsp;: Rembrandt ne cherche pas \u00e0 parler de lui, ce n\u2019est pas la traduction d\u2019un narcissisme forcen\u00e9, mais \u00e0 montrer l\u2019humanit\u00e9 au travers de ses traits et de ses regards. Il utilise avec g\u00e9nie le clair-obscur pour donner du volume et, pour la partie du regard qui est dans la p\u00e9nombre, pour laisser transpara\u00eetre le myst\u00e8re de l\u2019humanit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au fil des toiles comment\u00e9es, Paul Guillon fait le parall\u00e8le entre la peinture dramatique et quelque peu th\u00e9\u00e2trale du Caravage, dont il s\u2019est inspir\u00e9 pour l\u2019utilisation du clair-obscur et celle de l\u2019intimit\u00e9 de Rembrandt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toile apr\u00e8s toile, Paul Guillon montre la foi de Rembrandt, protestant un peu frustr\u00e9 de ne pouvoir, en conformit\u00e9 avec les pr\u00e9ceptes de sa religion, couvrir de sa peinture les murs de temples. Il fera cependant sur des th\u00e8mes religieux de nombreuses toiles, toujours empruntes de sa recherche de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, de la souffrance, de l\u2019humanit\u00e9, \u00e0 l\u2019exact oppos\u00e9 des m\u00eames sc\u00e8nes peintes par d\u2019autres avec une volont\u00e9 d\u2019embellissement, de symbolisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il compare \u00e0 ce propos <em>la lapidation de Saint-Etienne<\/em>, premier tableau de sc\u00e8ne religieuse de Rembrandt avant que son style unique ne prenne d\u00e9finitivement forme avec celle peinte par Charles le Brun en 1651. Chez ce dernier, la grandiloquence, la mise en sc\u00e8ne, l\u2019emphase, chez Rembrandt, l\u2019humanit\u00e9 telle qu\u2019elle est.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rembrandt, apprend-on, \u00e9tait le neuvi\u00e8me de dix enfants d\u2019une famille relativement ais\u00e9e. Son \u00e9pouse, Saskia, lui servira de mod\u00e8le dans diff\u00e9rents tableaux, comme personnage principal ou bien en arri\u00e8re-plan, parmi d\u2019autres. Ce sera la m\u00eame chose une fois cette derni\u00e8re disparue, avec son fils Titus et sa deuxi\u00e8me concubine Hendrickje Stoffels&nbsp;\u2014 qui apparaissent r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement dans ses peintures, l\u2019aidant, par sa connaissance intime des mod\u00e8les, dans sa recherche de l\u2019humanit\u00e9 profonde des \u00eatres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le conf\u00e9rencier se livre \u00e0 une sorte de jeu de pistes dans diff\u00e9rentes toiles o\u00f9 il nous aide \u00e0 identifier la premi\u00e8re comme la seconde compagne, ainsi que Titus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il s\u2019attardera sur son <em>Autoportrait \u00e0 la cha\u00eene d\u2019or<\/em>, peint \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de 27 ans, alors qu\u2019il r\u00e9v\u00e8le une maturit\u00e9 dans son art proprement incroyable (voir derni\u00e8re illustration). Il \u00e9voque l\u2019humour du ma\u00eetre qui s\u2019est sciemment d\u00e9guis\u00e9 en bourgeois amstellodamois par ironie envers les autres comme envers lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A propos de <em>la le\u00e7on d\u2019anatomie du<\/em> <em>Docteur Tulp <\/em>(voir deuxi\u00e8me illustration), comme de <em>la le\u00e7on d\u2019anatomie du Docteur Deyman<\/em>, Paul Guillon souligne \u00e0 quel point le peintre rend compte de la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 des chairs, r\u00e9v\u00e8le tout, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 la tradition est de mettre en sc\u00e8ne et souvent avec pudeur une le\u00e7on d\u2019anatomie. Dans le second tableau, Rembrandt n\u2019h\u00e9site pas \u00e0 montrer les deux lobes du cerveau du cadavre, un condamn\u00e9 \u00e0 mort, alors qu\u2019un assistant du docteur tient presque n\u00e9gligemment la partie du cr\u00e2ne tr\u00e9pan\u00e9, pour r\u00e9v\u00e9ler ce qu\u2019il y a en dessous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apoth\u00e9ose du si\u00e8cle d\u2019or n\u00e9erlandais, Rembrandt, dont la<em> Ronde de nuit<\/em> (voir troisi\u00e8me illustration) expos\u00e9e au Rijksmuseum d\u2019Amsterdam, est pour moi un des sommets de l\u2019art pictural, quelles que soient les p\u00e9rip\u00e9ties que cette fresque a travers\u00e9es (baptis\u00e9e \u00ab&nbsp;de nuit&nbsp;\u00bb alors que c\u2019est la crasse et le vieillissement qui a rendu la sc\u00e8ne nocturne, d\u00e9coup\u00e9e pour pouvoir \u00eatre transport\u00e9e, etc.) et quelle que soit l\u2019histoire de cette gigantesque toile de commande. Elle nous est mieux comprise de l\u2019int\u00e9rieur apr\u00e8s cette dense et vivante conf\u00e9rence. Ce qui ne devait \u00eatre qu\u2019un portrait de groupe est devenu un chef-d\u2019\u0153uvre historique en m\u00eame temps qu\u2019un manifeste baroque, r\u00e9volutionnant au passage les postures et attitudes des protagonistes. C\u2019est aussi une brillante satire sociale\u2026On int\u00e8gre mieux, en \u00e9coutant Paul Guillon, l\u2019alchimie interne du peintre entre sa foi profonde, sa passion de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, et son art. La localisation pr\u00e9cise de sa tombe n\u2019\u00e9tant pas connue, on peut voir une plaque, plac\u00e9e faute de mieux, sur un pilier \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de la tombe de son fils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Non seulement, il est le ma\u00eetre incontest\u00e9 d\u2019une peinture absolument sinc\u00e8re, inqui\u00e8te et spirituelle, mais encore, au travers de sa peinture de ses bourgeois d\u2019Amsterdam, de son cercle familial ou de ses innombrables autoportraits, Rembrandt n\u2019a pas du tout cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 enjoliver l\u2019\u00e2me humaine, mais en a inlassablement traqu\u00e9 la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 sans fard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une bien belle conf\u00e9rence autour de chefs-d\u2019\u0153uvre connus, mais red\u00e9couverts gr\u00e2ce aux yeux et aux analyses de Paul Guillon.
